Foundation “Croatia for Children” – accessible and well-organized public website
For the Foundation “Croatia for Children” we designed and developed a new responsive website connected to the Globaladmin system.
The Foundation provides support to children and young people through its own projects, one-time grants, scholarships, and by funding programs of other organizations. Its website therefore has to serve different user groups: individuals, pupils, students, parents, legal entities, donors, and the general public.
The project’s goal was to turn a large amount of information, procedures, and documents into a clear digital public service that clearly shows users what kind of assistance is available to them and what they need to do to apply for it.
Clearly separated content for different users
One of the main challenges of the project was designing an information structure tailored to different user groups.
Content for individuals and legal entities is clearly separated, while scholarships, the Foundation’s projects, notices, and information on donations are organized as separate sections.
A user seeking financial support does not need to know the Foundation’s internal organization. The navigation gradually leads them to the types of available support, eligibility criteria, required documentation, and the application process.
Legal entities can easily find current public calls, an archive of previous calls, application guidelines, and related forms. Pupils and students have dedicated access to information on scholarships, calls, and results.
Support for individuals
A dedicated section is intended for individuals submitting a request for assistance. In one place, users can find information about types of support, eligibility criteria, required documentation, and the application process.
The content is organized step-by-step to help users better understand what they need to prepare before starting the process.
From the website, users can access a separate system for online application submission and a tool for checking case status. This makes the public website the starting point of the entire user journey, from getting informed to tracking the submitted application.
This organization reduces the likelihood of submitting incomplete documentation and lowers the number of additional inquiries to the Foundation’s staff.
Public calls and documentation for legal entities
Public call pages enable publishing a large number of documents, forms, and guidelines that legal entities need to review before applying for a project.
Alongside the basic call text and deadlines, the documentation is divided according to its purpose. Application attachments, contractual documentation, final reports, cost estimate guidelines, and checklists are highlighted separately.
For each public call, it is possible to publish important notices as well as questions from interested applicants and the Foundation’s official answers. This ensures all users have access to the same information, and additional clarifications remain permanently available throughout the application process.
Current calls are separated from the archive, making it easier for users to find valid documentation and reducing the risk of using outdated forms.
Scholarships for pupils and students
Scholarship content is organized according to target groups, with separate information for pupils and students.
The website can publish competition conditions, required documentation, deadlines, notices, and results. The archive of competitions provides access to information from previous periods without cluttering the view of current content.
A clear structure is especially important during competition periods, when a large number of users are looking for the same information and documents in a short time.
Presenting the Foundation’s projects and work
The website presents independent projects, national campaigns, and other activities through which the Foundation directly contributes to a better upbringing environment for children.
Each project can include a description, photos, documents, related notices, and other implementation details. Current projects are highlighted on the homepage, while an overview of all projects gives users better insight into the continuity of the Foundation’s work.
Alongside projects and notices, the public can access annual reports, information on awarded support, the Foundation’s acts, public procurement, the work of the management board, and other content important for the institution’s transparency.
An easier way to donate
For users who want to support the Foundation’s work, a dedicated page with clear donation instructions has been developed.
In addition to payment details, a QR code is displayed that the user can scan with a mobile banking app. After scanning, it is enough to enter the desired amount and confirm the payment.
This solution removes the need to manually copy the IBAN and other details, making donating faster and simpler, especially on mobile devices.
Design aligned with a sensitive social role
The UI/UX design was entirely developed at Globaldizajn. The website’s visual identity is crafted to convey the warmth and optimism associated with work for children, while maintaining the seriousness and reliability of a public institution.
Clear typography, sufficient spacing between content, prominent key calls to action, and a well-structured set of documents make it easier for users with different levels of digital experience to find their way around.
The responsive design adapts the display to computers, tablets, and mobile devices, which is especially important for users who search for forms, contacts, or competition information via phone.
Web content accessibility
Special attention has been paid to digital accessibility. The site includes the ability to skip directly to the main content, clearly structured headings, and separate accessibility settings.
Navigation, links, and content sections are designed so that the most important information remains understandable and accessible to the widest possible range of users.
Accessibility is especially important here because the website serves individuals and families who may be in sensitive life circumstances and must find information quickly and without unnecessary obstacles.
Globaladmin for timely and independent management
The website was developed on the Globaladmin system, which enables the Foundation’s staff to independently manage notices, projects, competitions, public calls, questions and answers, documents, and other content.
Editors can publish a new call in a timely manner, replace a form, add a clarification, or move a completed competition to the archive. The flexible organization of documents helps maintain clarity even when a particular call contains a large number of attachments.
The result is an accessible and reliable website that clearly presents the Foundation’s work and enables users to more easily access support, scholarships, public calls, documents, and donation options.
